Consultant/Regional CO-Hear Coordinator

Duties: The Colorado Home Intervention Program (CHIP) operates within the Colorado School for the Deaf and the Blind (CSDB), a unit of the Colorado Department of Education. This position reports to the Senior Consultant (lead CO-Hear) and is responsible to serve as a representative of CSDB to provide consultation/case management to families and to support the statewide implementation of the CHIP program, in an effort to ensure the provision of collaborative early education programs/services for families of children who are deaf / hard-of-hearing.

Qualifications: MA in Deaf Education or related field from an accredited college or university; Hold or eligible for appropriate educator licensure in the State of Colorado as a Teacher, endorsed as a Special Education Specialist: Deaf/Hard-of-Hearing, or related endorsement; Three (3) years of successful experience in the field of deafness as a teacher or related service provider, consultant, administrator or similar position; supervisory experience preferred, as well as experience with infant intervention and/or early childhood programs geared specifically to the needs of children with mild to profound hearing loss.
