Teacher-Cognitive Disabilities
Wisconsin Center for the Blind and Visually Impaired

Duties: Provide instruction/adapt/develop appropriate curriculum for PreK-12th grade visually impaired students who have additonal disabilities and other learning problems. Prepare lesson plans; apply instructional methodology consistent with special education for students with cognitive disabilities as defined by the IEP. Identify/administer/score/interpret student assessments. Participate in professional/school related activities to promote the educational program provided for WCBVI students.

Qualifications: Certification or eligible for certification in Cognitive Disability (810), PreK-12th grade by the Dept. of Public Instruction is required. Questions regarding licensure my be directed to DPI licensing at 608-266-1879.
