Visual Impairment Statewide Education Consultant

Duties: The Special Education Service Agency (SESA) is seeking an enthusiastic individual to provide training and technical assistance for students with visual impairments in remote and rural Alaska.

Qualifications: Good communication skills, self-motivation, good judgment, and sensitivity to diverse cultures are a must. The successful applicant must have a sense of adventure for independent travel, professionalism, good presentation skills, and an ability to multi-task. Masters degree preferred but a bachelors with experience will be considered.

Additional Information: Knowledge of braille and experience working with students with multiple disabilities a large part of your caseload. History of working and training parents, community members, and paraprofessionals needed.
