Director of Special Education

Duties: The director of special education is responsible for organizing, managing, and supervising the programs and activities of the Special Education Services Division. The director functions as the advocate for the Division’s programs and for children throughout the area, and provides for the development and conduct of the Division’s programs in consultation and cooperation with the local education agencies.
Qualifications: Position requires a minimum of a Master’s degree and a valid Iowa professional license with an endorsement as director of Special Education of an AEA.
