Teacher of the Visually Impaired

Duties: Provide Braille instruction. Act as a consultant to classroom teachers to support students with visual impairments. Prepare/adapt/ and modify materials to be used for daily instruction.
Qualifications: Certified Teacher of the Visually Impaired. Proficiency in literary and Nemeth braille code. Ability to use assistive technology including Braille Note, Kurzweil, JAWS, Victor Readers, Duxbury, scanners, embossers and able to provide student instruction with these as needed. Ability to provide Braille instruction to students at the 7-12 grade level.
