Itinerant Teacher of the Deaf
South Carolina School for the Deaf and Blind
Spartanburg, SC
Duties: Works with families in the natural environment and local school districts in the school based setting to schedule lessons and provide itinerant instruction in communication and language development, literacy, use of assistive technology and other unique needs of students with hearing impairments.
Qualifications: Bachelor Degree in the area of Deafness and Hearing Impairment and two years experience working with students who are deaf or hard of hearing. Requires South Carolina Teacher certificate in Deafness or Hearing Impairment. SCPI Minimum Entry Skill Level: Survival Plus. SCPI Skill Level Goal: Intermediate.
