Special Education Teacher (K-12)

Duties: We are currently seeking a reliable, energetic and hardworking professional to join our team as a full-time teacher. Our Special Education teachers are expected to exhibit the same skills, knowledge, and qualities required of the general classroom teachers in the areas of curriculum, instruction, assessment, classroom management, professional responsibilities, professional relationships, family involvement, and school community. Teach Special Education students who have behaviors that need a self-contained setting for grades K-12. Teach behavior management skills and social skills, while students work on assignments from General Education Teachers. Develop and implement IEPs, work with Related Services, and collaborate with General Education Teachers.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree (master’s degree preferred). Certification in Special Education. Experience working with students with disabilities. Positive professional recommendations.
