Special Education Assistant Professor

Duties: Expectations for this position include establishing or continuing a program of research and scholarship at the national level, teaching undergraduate and graduate courses, mentoring students (undergraduate through Ph.D.), and forging professional relationships with educators and schools for research and professional development.
Qualifications: Candidate must have an earned doctorate related to Special Education specializing in mild disabilities and expertise in academic interventions (e.g., explicit instructional practices, learning strategies, and content-area instruction). Applicants must have experience working with individuals with disabilities, including classroom teaching.
Additional Information: Special Education Assistant Professor: Tenure-track position, beginning Fall Semester 2010.
